You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Policy and Support (Code 430), Contracts Department (Code 400), Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Duties
You will provide administrative and technical supervision directly to division directors.
You will evaluate the performance of subordinate personnel and review evaluations made by other supervisors.
You will exercise the full range and authority of assigned programs of contract administration actions; issuance of contract modifications, cost and price analysis, technical analysis of contract's performance, and resolution of contract disputes.
You will develop alternate means of accomplishing contracting workload.
You will analyze unique, complex contract and business issued to determine the command's best course of action for the prevention and adjudication or REAs and Claims.
Requirements

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience exercising the full scope of supervisory responsibilities such as planning, assigning, developing and evaluating performance of subordinates;
Experience managing all aspects of all contracts assigned personnel;
Experience supervising and implementing the full range of contract, administration and procurement functions;
Experience reviewing and approving evaluation of proposed contracts changes and deviations;
Experience managing negotiation of change orders involving specifications, funding and/or terminations of all contracts;
Experience interpreting and applying legal requirements to acquisition, supplies, services and ship maintenance/repairs.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
NOTE: The education requirement listed above applies only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement. Applicants currently in the Contingency Contracting Force are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
