Duties
OSC is a small, independent agency and is currently recruiting for a talented individual to serve as an Information Systems Security Officer and Cloud Engineer. The incumbent is responsible for managing cloud technology systems and providing technical expertise for security requirements to enhance OSC's IT operations. OSC consistently ranks in the top 3 in the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey.
Duties performed:
Managing organization-wide cloud technology systems to improve business mission services.
Preparing reports and briefing stakeholders on all aspects of key assignments.
Developing guidelines and recommendations for cloud strategy, cloud management, and information management policies.
Advising senior officers on the agency's information technology systems, software and hardware, security requirements and system administration of crucial agency operations.
Participating in the strategic planning, auditing, implementing, and evaluating of the agency's information technology infrastructure.
Qualifications
GS: 13
Four (4) IT Competencies:
Attention to Detail-Reviewing guidance to align operations with relevant policies, legislation, and/or industry standards;
Customer Service -Collaborating with stakeholders to meet expectations for quality/levels of service;
Oral Communication-Communicating with organizational stakeholders to ensure that contractor commitments are upheld; and
Problem Solving-Recommending changes to guidelines based on analysis of existing systems.
AND
Minimum Qualifications:
GS-13: Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
Conducting information technology assessments to evaluate system compliance with security requirements;
Utilizing knowledge of information technology infrastructure and functions to devise solutions to improve mission effectiveness; and
Utilizing program requirements to suggest methods of improvement that support information technology infrastructure and/or program interdependencies.

Attention to Detail - Performing security audits of the organization's cloud-based system architectures;
Customer Service - Ensuring the delivery of high-quality project outcome;
Oral Communication - Delivering presentations to brief stakeholders on all aspects of assignments; and
Problem Solving - Analyzing identified problems to develop solutions and improvements.
AND
Minimum Qualifications:
GS-14: Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
Representing an organization by delivering reports and recommendations to external stakeholders;
Enacting policy and practices to support interdisciplinary approaches to information technology architecture and security projects; and
Implementing enterprise architecture transition plans for moving from a baseline operating environment to the target environment.
