Duties

You will serve as the Command Inspector General, Special Assistant, and direct advisor to the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, and Executive Director. You will be responsible for conducting investigations and providing independent assessments, recommendations, and advice to assist the Commanding Officer in ensuring mission accomplishment. You will develop an annual review plan comprised of assessable units with consideration to risk, complexity, periodicity, command climate, and other factors designated by the command. You will serve as the command Hotline Program Coordinator, principal advisor, and single point of contact for non-criminal hotline investigations. You will assess mission effectiveness, regulatory compliance, the adequacy of internal controls, test internal controls, ethical conduct, proper stewardship, and effective/efficient use of resources. You will serve as the command liaison with external audit agencies. You will perform after action and follow up reporting and track status of open items through the completion of corrective action found via audits or internal assessments.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1. Applying a wide range of complex inspection, investigation, and compliance principles, concepts, and practices to conduct inspections and investigations of corporate or command compliance (mission effectiveness, regulatory compliance, ethical conduct, effective and efficient use of resources) and hotline complaints; 2. Prescribe corrective actions based on inspection/investigation findings, perform after action, and follow-up reporting through completion of corrective actions; 3. Utilize a knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to logistics operations (i.e. fuels, contracting, material management etc.) financial management, and administrative functions to conduct independent reviews and analyses of corporate or command operations; 4. Communicate orally and verbally to provide advisory services on controversial/business sensitive, conduct investigations, gain concurrence on recommendations, and liaison with external commands; 5.
