About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It's located at Martin Army Community Hospital located on Fort Moore, Georgia. The primary purpose is to perform a variety of purchasing, storing, inventorying, delivering, and administrative support duties within the dental clinic.

Duties

Forecast stock levels according to various factors such as usage rate, cost, and delivery time. Prepare purchase requisitions based on source and price. Expedite urgent requests for delivery of material to a medical treatment facility. Conduct and document physical inventory on stock for the dental clinic. Utilize office automation equipment to compose correspondence and documents.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • This position requires incumbent to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • This position requires incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate government vehicles.
  • This position requires incumbent to routinely lift materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Interpersonal SkillsInventory ManagementSupply Planning Advancement requirement to positions up to GS-05: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-05 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
