You will serve as an OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Emergency Management of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.

Duties

You will establish program goals or benchmarks to measure success towards meeting program objectives. You will manage data to create reports on maintenance requirements (e.g., policy, guidance, recruitments, performance, retention). You will analyze an aviation program (e.g., program objectives, policies, work operations, testing activities resources utilization) to measure achievement of agency objectives. You will develop measurable objectives and plans to integrate organizational, business, and strategic planning office policy and procedures. You will develop databases and spreadsheets to identify and track mission reliability and resource performance. You will collaborate with cross functional groups to develop administration related policies and procedures.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • The incumbent may be required to deploy on short notice to an alternate work site and be operational within a designated timeframe in order to carry out assigned essential functions until relieved by proper authority.
  • The incumbent may be required to work on a shift or other non-standard work schedule.
  • Primarily On Site or Light Telework; this may be considered a virtual position that requires access to government facilities periodically 51 percent or more per pay period. The incumbent may perform the required tasks at an off-site location.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating operations processes for an Emergency Management branch; 2) Maintaining the All Hazards Plans for responding to natural, technological, and man-made emergency events affecting a command; 3) Developing, reviewing or revising training plans and/or programs for a Crisis Action Team; 4) Providing readiness of a Shore Enterprise Operations Center to ensure the ability to immediately activate in support of an emergency event; and 5) Establishing manning requirements and program guidance necessary to execute operational processes with an operations center **NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.
