This position is in the Office of Planning and Analytics (OPA), Economic Research and Regulatory Analysis Division. OPA is responsible for assessing available data and conducting economic analysis regarding pipeline and hazardous material transportation safety; assessing available data and information related to the environment and environmental justice to inform agency decision-making; and implementing processes and procedures to ensure effective strategic planning and performance.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-14, it must include:
Experience overseeing the examination of economic analyses and regulatory evaluations in support of regulatory programs that facilitate the development of program policies, procedures, tools, and resources to help guide the analytical efforts of an agency’s safety programs.
Experience developing economic models that evaluate safety risks of associated energy, chemical or transportation industries to forecast changing patterns of risk.
Experience coordinating agency level integrated budgets and strategic assessments of economic factors driving and affecting current safety programs.
Experience supervising, leading, or managing staff members relevant to the field of Economics to include setting priorities, planning work to be completed by subordinates, and evaluating performance.
