About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 7th Signal Command, 106th Signal Brigade, 56th Signal Battalion.
Duties
Serve as logistics supervisor and senior logistician for an organizational unit that provides enterprise-level command, control, communications, computer, and cybersecurity (C5S) operations and maintenance.
Responsible for internal and external issues that impact on the regulatory, technical, and operational aspects of U.S. Army logistics systems within the supported command and its area of operations.
Initiate, develop, implement, lead, oversee, and administer the unit's logistics, acquisition, and contracting programs.
Provide technical, expert advice, guidance, and assistance on logistics, procurement, property book operations, and property control.
Serve as certifying official for Government Purchase Card program cardholders.
Advise the unit's management on matters pertaining to property management, inventory, and acquisition management.
Ensure that contract service documentation folders are consistent with applicable regulations and can withstand Army Audit Agency (AAA) audit.
Perform complex contract administration, to include performance of modification actions and initiation of receiving reports.
Supervise at least five GG-12s and below Department of the Army Civilians.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
- Incumbent of this position must be willing and able to travel for duty (TDY) up to 10% of the time.
- Incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) course certification.
- One-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by includes serving as senior logistician for an organizational unit that provides enterprise-level command, control, communications, computer, and cybersecurity (C5S) operations and maintenance (O&M) support; performing technical work in systems' logistics, contract, and supply management policy; interpreting and applying complex policy and regulatory decisions to develop property book and logistic plans, policies, and guidance; and developing and carrying out written and oral strategies for property and logistics plans and policies.
