You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SMALL CRAFT REPAIR DEPARTMENT of NAVAL ACADEMY.

Duties

You will evaluate budget plan for a supply program to optimize sound recommendations to management. You will analyze and evaluate critical data used in the development of each ship's allowance product. You will coordinate with maritime software application program manager to resolve program deficiencies for allowance programs. You will review reutilization data sources to determine HAZMAT availability through the reuse programs. You will analyze and evaluate studies of supply function to provide guidance to managers responsible for effective and economical management of material. You will develop a system for monitoring significant resources for site to identify weaknesses and take corrective action. You will develop automated alternatives to existing system approaches which enhance products and assure accuracy.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Procures and tracks hazardous materials for a small craft facility; 2) Maintains the data-processing operations for orders, inventory, and budget or accounting records; 3) Utilizes the allowance list to identify and procure supplies; and 4) Utilizes various database programs for tracking inventory, shipments, and budgeting duties. The work is mostly sedentary; however, some walking, bending and lifting (of objects weighing less than 25 pounds) is involved. As a component of the Division of Professional Development located on Naval Academy grounds, Waterfront Readiness employees on occasion are required to transit back and forth across the Severn River via small boat. The incumbent must possess the manual dexterity to embark and debark floating watercraft.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
