You will report to the Director, IT Solution Services, and serve in a supervisory position with management responsibilities for subordinate IT professionals. The primary purpose of the position is to provide the leadership, management, oversight, and direction necessary for TIGTA's application services operations.
Duties
As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, you will:
- Coordinate and integrate all aspects of TIGTA's Application Services group to effectively serve TIGTA's end-users and ensure continued reliability and availability of the workstation environment.
- Supervise a staff of IT Specialists regarding the administration of workstations, testing software, testing hardware, configuring software settings and policies, and troubleshooting issues for end user equipment.
- Oversee the development, procurement, installation, evaluation, maintenance and monitoring of software and hardware associated with an enterprise-wide end user equipment environment, and software included on agency workstations.
- Facilitate the development and deployment of an end user equipment image baseline, especially cyber security configurations, to ease the deployment of workstations as needed.
- Review legislation, regulatory, and procedural material in order to assess the impact on existing end user equipment configurations.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Managing projects in the conception, design and development of integrated computer hardware and software information systems. AND
- Providing advice and recommendations to resolve integration and technical issues related to the implementation of new systems. AND
- Managing the planning and delivery of customer support programs that provide the full range of IT services to end-users of IT hardware and software throughout the organization.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
