Duties

You will develop, coordinate and maintain training plans for Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group One (EODMU ONE) based on operation requirements and mobilization readiness. You will liaison with training activities and operational units to ensure training plans are properly implemented. You will serve as the Explosive Ordnance Disposal expert and improve training policy and plans. You will schedule resident and on-site training courses, in addition to training and development of training specialists. You will analyze manpower requirements and review and recommend changes to standard operating procedures. You will perform research to obtain cost, schedule, and performance data; analyze data to justify additional resources involving instructor billets, course offerings, and state of the art military equipment for training. You will make recommendations involving restructuring, re-orienting or recasting immediate and long-term goals, objectives, plans, and schedules. You will perform cost analysis in support of training initiatives to justify budget and Program Objecting Management requirements.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of training management and associated systems, personal computer hardware and software to utilize and administer training and office automation systems to develop reports, administer training functions/policy/guidance, advise management, and ensure systems capabilities are maximized to support unit training management.
