This position serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)/Alternate Contracting Officer's Representative (ACOR) for one or more contracts administered by the Acquisition Support & Analysis Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will be responsible for supporting requirements that are within the scope of one or more of the basic contracts managed by the team. You will abide by COR/ACOR rules and guidance of NAVAIRINST 4200.28D and obtain and maintain the FAR/DFAR COR/ACOR certification thru required training. You will aid in acquisition package development, including acquisition strategy and market research document. You will ensure pre and post award tripwire approvals are secured, when applicable. You will track funding levels against contract/task order ceiling to prevent overruns on the contract and/or orders; ensure the contract ceiling is not overrun.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

DA-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DA-03=GS 5-8)) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following: 1) Monitoring projects and outcomes, complying with guidance and regulations, working effectively in a team environment;2) analyzing and forecasting issues and developing solutions through critical thinking and network of resources; 3) identifying and documenting issues with processes, requirements, projects, and project performance, and making recommendations on the appropriate path forward and / or corrective action; 4) monitoring and performing surveillance on contracts supporting programs and projects and their outcomes' 5)reporting contract performance and identifying and documenting issues with processes, requirements, projects, and project performance. DA-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience with at least one year at or equivalent to the GS-04 or DA-01 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Experience building relationships with internal and external groups; 2) Monitoring projects and outcomes, complying with guidance and regulations, and able to work effectively in a team environment; 3) Analyzing and forecasting issues and developing solutions through critical thinking and network of resources; 4) Identifying and documenting issues with processes, requirements, projects, and project performance, and making recommendations on the appropriate path forward and / or corrective action.
