You will serve as a Program Analyst in the System Safety Engineering Division, Systems Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will act as the Government point of contact for System Safety engineering and analytical matters.
You will assist in a System Safety Program by identifying, evaluating, mitigating, and communicating hazard risk associated with the system to the appropriate stakeholder.
You will ensure that a hazard-tracking system is established and utilized.
You will develop recommendations and guidance for safety actions to be taken by PMA’s.
You will review and approve safety data deliverables.
You will coordinate with leads to provide briefs on safety program progress, problem areas, and action item status.
You will assist leads with preparing residual risk acceptance packages using statistical methods and techniques to determine probability and severity levels for weapons and target programs.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band (DA-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge and experience with System Safety and the formal risk acceptance process; 2) Drafting and delivering formal documentation and corresponding materials; 3) Identifying issues with processes, requirements, projects, and project performance, and making recommendations on the appropriate path forward and/or corrective action.
