As a Lead Human Resources Specialist (Compensation) at the GS-0201-14, you will be part of Office of Workforce Policy and Innovation, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for providing program direction and expert technical guidance in specific Federal pay administration program areas.

Duties

Provide expert technical advice and assistance on Federal pay programs and policies. Evaluate Government wide policies and programs on pay administration through the collection and analysis of statistical information. Lead a team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill level.

Qualifications

For the GS 14: You must have one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service which include: 1) researching and analyzing pay administration regulations, policies, and programs to develop solutions to pay issues; 2) developing pay policies; 3) organizing information and presenting findings, conclusions or options for pay issues. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS14 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
