As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist at the GS-0201-15, you will be part of Office of Workforce Policy and Innovation. If selected, you will be responsible for providing policy leadership, guidance, and technical expertise regarding workforce flexibilities for employee recruitment, retention, and management and in response to emergency situations. Such policy areas include telework, remote work, hours of work and work schedules, and agency emergency dismissal and closure procedures.
Duties
Provide technical advice and assistance to Federal agencies on and serves as an advocate for Governmentwide policies and programs for workforce flexibilities.
Develop regulations and guidance to Federal agencies and other Office of Personnel Management (OPM) customers on the administration of workforce flexibility programs and policies.
Assign work to subordinates, evaluate their performance, and identify developmental and training needs of employees.
Analyze legislative proposals on the administration of workforce flexibilities, which include proposals to modify or reform current systems and programs.
Qualifications
For the GS15: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level in the Federal Government (or equivalent) that include all the following:1) assisting in the development of Government-wide programs and policies for the administration of assigned workforce flexibilities (e.g., telework, remote work, hours of work, work schedules, emergency dismissal and closure, etc.); 2) interpreting (and implementing) Government-wide policies and programs on the administration of assigned workforce flexibilities (e.g., telework, remote work, hours of work, work schedules, emergency dismissal and closure, etc.); and 3) providing advice to various Government or non-Federal individuals or groups about Government-wide programs and policies related to workforce flexibilities (e.g., telework, remote work, hours of work, work schedules, emergency dismissal and closure, etc.).
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 15 level.
