This position is located at US Mint,Headquarters - Office of the Dir/Office of the Chief Admin Officer/Information Technology Dept. As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will plan, organize, and direct day-to-day operations of the United States Mint Information Security Operations Branch functions. .
Duties
As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:
Develop, improve, facilitate, and/or contribute to the Department's, Division's, and Branch's capacity and capabilities.
Lead a team of technical experts in support of the information security posture of the United States Mint.
Propel progress on executing information security support for United States Mint Annual Action Items.
Work as a team-mate in developing and executing IT Department annual work plans and strategic IT roadmap.
Monitor performance of all Information Security Operations Branch support contractors.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience designing and maintaining information security architecture for an agency's information technology infrastructure (i.e., WAN, LAN, Internet, extranet, intranet) and evaluating threats and risks associated with IT system vulnerabilities; performing network security operations such as network incident response and performing network penetration testing.

4.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
