You will serve as a EDUCATION TECHNICIAN in the ADMISSIONS of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will have knowledge of academic organization and management, as well as an understanding of undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
You will have the ability to review evaluate and be attuned to the nuances of a variety of grading systems to generate an accurate Academic Profile Code.
You will demonstrate ability to utilize and modify existing programs used the conduct research of transcripts.
You will demonstrate ability to recognize fraudulent documents.
You will have an understanding of computer programs to facilitate web-based interaction with applicants.
You will have organizational skills to track and monitor application paperwork status.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Creating academic and student reports in accordance with policies and procedures; 2) Utilizing database management systems, word processors, spreadsheets and internet/web publishing applicants to maintain academic records, statistics and historical data; 3) Providing guidance to personnel on admission issues, policies, procedures and requirements; and 4) Implementing admissions policies and procedures in accordance with organization's requirements.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
