Duties

Serve as US Army Pacific (USARPAC) Facilities Management Team Security Specialist working in the Visitor Control Center (VCC)/Badging Office. Responsible for reviewing and processing requests for access to the Command and Control Facility (C2F). Implement policies and procedures to control access to command facility work areas. Issue and account for security access badges for military, Department of Defense civilians, contractors, and official visitors. Handle clearance requirements and procedures related to foreign visitors.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Position is subject to pre-employment drug testing and random testing upon employment.
• Position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as Security Management, Security Administration, Security Studies. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
