Duties

As a Program Analyst, you will: Provide support to the Director in managing external audit engagements as well as continuously assessing the external audit management discipline. Gather information, identify and analyze issues, and make recommendations to the director. The position will also develop, manage, and coordinate the audit liaison team's functions and provide recommendations to refine existing work methods and techniques such as documentation or reporting procedures. Compile, reconcile, and correlate information from a variety of sources with different reporting requirements and formats. Analyze and develop plans to define, establish, and implement strategic planning and management control methods and procedures. Identify and mitigate the possibility of emerging risks and then provide internal and external recommendations.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-12, you must have one year of experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: Applying methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; AND Evaluating, measuring and improving support functions within audit liaison operations; AND Automating work processes for the facilitation of program operations, such as such as initiative tracking, budget, etc. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12 you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
