You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Logistics and Ordnance (N41) of COMNAVSURFPAC.
Duties
You will develop, analyze, and update reports that show metrics related to expenditure, maintenance costs, sparing initiatives, and similar logistics/supply metrics.
You will assist in assessing shipboard operations readiness and performance by developing trend analysis and recommendations for improvement.
You will prepare detailed written reports containing concise findings and practical recommendations for improving logistics support by identifying, clarifying and/or outlining concerns, needs, and objectives projecting future customer requirements.
You will resolve high-priority logistics, distribution, or service problems through personal action or immediate coordination with supporting supply organizations.
You will have responsibility for the oversight and management of the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program, and will work with Approving Officials (AO) and Cardholders (CH).
You will review all established local instructions regarding the use of the purchase card and make recommendations on force-wide changes.
You will directly supervise two employees, ensuring development of work plans, short and long-range schedules, priorities, work assignments and position structures to effectively, efficiently, and economically carry out the work of the organization.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of supply or logistics support to identify issues or recommend improvements for shipboard operations readiness and performance.
