About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.

Duties

Develop, plan, coordinate and implement program initiatives to ensure timely response for providing necessary tools and special equipment for production operations. Coordinate the accountability and management of supplies, tools, and equipment items within assorted tool cribs depot-wide. Visit shop work sites, make inquiries and investigates causes of existing problems, and recommend corrective action in coordination with shop officials. Assist in the planning, developing, and administering of a properly oriented or expedited program through the application of business and trade practices concerning equipment, tooling and procurement functions.

Requirements

  • This position requires a personnel security background check.
  • Incumbent must have a valid civilian driver's license issued by a State or U. S. possession in order to obtain and keep current a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card (OF 346).

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityAdministration and ManagementInventory ManagementPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
