You will serve as a Supervisory Equipment Specialist in the Equipment/Program Management Branch; Aviation Maintenance/Logistics Division; ACOS for Aviation Resources & Logistics; Chief of Naval Air Training of CNATRA.
Duties
You will, as supervisor for N43, report directly to CNATRA N4A Deputy ACOS, and provide required leadership, technical, and contract knowledge to maintain an effective and productive work force.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees, and provide technical oversight.
You will develop performance plans and rate employees; interviews candidates for subordinate positions; and recommend hiring, promotion, or reassignments.
You will implement disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands; identify developmental and training needs of employees; and provide and/or arrange for needed development and training.
You will represent CNATRA through N4 as the Command authority on all Support Equipment (SE) issues as one of the only five Navy-wide designated Navy Support Controlling Activities (SECAs).
You will ensure all CNATRA activities have the necessary SE required to maintain aircraft in an operational and safe working condition.
You will use the Support Equipment Resource Management Information System (SERMIS) to ensure 100 percent inventory accountability and database integrity at all sites.
You will ensure the Naval Air (NAVAIR) Systems Command Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) program procedures are implemented in order to maintain optimum readiness and availability of aviation SE and Calibration Standards (CALSTDS).
You will assist the Industrial Property Management Specialists at CNATRA’s five Contract Administration Units (CAU) in all areas relating to Government property management to include accountability, inventory management, acquisition, and disposal.
You will provide guidance and oversight to the CNATRA Aviation Life Support System (ALSS) Class Desk to ensure ALSS maintenance and inventory procedures are complied with to ensure maximum safety/survivability and aircraft readiness is achieved.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating, analyzing, or implementing an aviation equipment program to ensure that aviation program maintenance, calibration standards, or equipment supply requirements are met.
