This position is located within Pharmacy Clinical Service at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle, Washington.
Duties

Some of the duties and responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):
Provides and/or oversees administrative support functions for VA Puget Sound's Pharmacy Clinical Service operations for two geographically-separated divisions and seven community based outpatient clinics.
Personally answers queries concerning administrative and procedural requirements.
Provides guidance to pharmaceutical representatives and other vendors, explaining policies and procedures regarding their visits and behavior.
Serves as the primary timekeeper and provides training, guidance, assistance and oversight for other timekeepers.
Compiles professional/background information on clinical staff for submission to the Credentialing and Privileging Office.
Processes incoming and prepares outgoing official correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
Manages and/or maintains Chief of Pharmacy Clinical Service Outlook calendar.
Performs office automations duties using software applications for electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, word processing, mail merge functions, spreadsheet, database, and/or graphics such as Visio and other process flowcharting software.
Schedules appointments, schedules interviews, coordinates meetings, and plans/schedules conferences.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Qualifications
TYPING PROFICIENCY: This position requires the skills of a qualified typist. In addition to meeting the experience and/or education requirements, you must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
In order to qualify for this position, applicants must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specific qualifying specialized experience for this position (which should be documented on your resume) is: experience assisting with administrative coordination and support for timekeeping, calendar/scheduling coordination, travel coordination, office supply management, document management, interview coordination, office equipment management, correspondence, action items, and customer service duties in a business office setting. Physical Requirements: Work is sedentary in nature however some standing, walking, stooping, bending, and carrying of items is required.
