This position is located in the VA Puget Sound Health Care System at the Pharmacy and Nutritional Care Division in Seattle, Washington. The incumbent serves as the principle administrative support to leadership and oversees administrative support functions for the Clinical Nutrition programs, and Pharmacy operations.

Duties

***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties and responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to): Provides guidance to pharmaceutical representatives and other vendors, explaining policies and procedures regarding their visits and behavior. Serves as the primary timekeeper and provides training, guidance, assistance and oversight for other timekeepers. Tracks the license and certification status of Licensed Pharmacists, Registered Dietitians, and Certified Pharmacy Technicians. Drafts informational brochures and reports. Provides mail and correspondence services. Performs office automations duties using software applications for electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, and word processing. Assists others with submitting work orders for maintenance or for user issues with computers/software. Trains others to use mail technology, including letter folding and envelop stuffing machinery. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Recruitment & Relocation Incentives: Not authorized. Critical Skills Incentive (CSI): Not Approved. Financial Disclosure Report: Not Required.

Qualifications

TYPING PROFICIENCY: This position requires the skills of a qualified typist. In addition to meeting the experience and/or education requirements, you must be able to type at least 40 words per minute. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5) in federal service, that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position? Qualifying specialized experience includes: providing telephone and receptionist services; prepare routine correspondence and reports; utilize software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; schedule and coordinate meetings; provide responses to customer inquiries; organize and maintain files; input and maintain records of time and attendance into computer system. Physical Requirements: Work is sedentary in nature however some standing, walking, stooping, bending and carrying of items is required. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
