You will serve as a PROTOCOL SPECIALIST in the Flag Protocol Division of HDQTRS NDW.
Duties
You will lead all planning, coordination, preparation and execution for Naval District Washington (NDW) events.
You will design and produce formal invitations, flyers and programs, and coordinate graphic and photographic support.
You will develop, maintain and revise standard operating procedures, policies, instructions, schedules of events and invite lists related to Protocol Office operations.
You will maintain excellent professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to facilitate seamless events and interactions that support NDW’s missions.
You will prepare regular reports and provide updates to NDW leadership on budget execution as it relates to
events and functions supported by the Protocol Office.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinates events (i.e. designs invitations, manages RSVPs, coordinates seating arrangements, etc.) for dignitaries in accordance with protocol; 2) Provides protocol training for superiors and subordinates to ensure protocol is followed at special events; 3) Analyzes program and budget requirements to ensure events are planned within restrictions (i.e. budget, timeframe, etc.); and 4) Evaluates work processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
