About the Position: Fort Eustis is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Transportation includes convenient interstate and major highways connecting the city to neighboring Hampton, York County, Gloucester, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Smithfield. The Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with the charm of small town and rural areas.
Duties
Serve as the Plans and Operations Specialist responsible for the functions of the Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP).
Provide guidance to organizational leadership regarding the effectiveness of the Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP) program.
Attend meetings as a member of the Prevention and TRADOC operational planning teams in support of special projects and taskers.
Act as Chief Knowledge Officer for the Prevention Force Modernization Proponent.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance for the duration of their employment.
- This position requires the incumbent to perform TDY up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) providing management information on Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP) taskings; (2) assisting leadership in ensuring that effective methods are used to evaluate if preventive proponent objectives are being met; (3) supporting prevention special projects and taskers; and (4) functioning as a source of information for strategic planning within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
