This is a public notice for FTA authorized Supervisory Transportation Program Specialist (2101) positions open to U.S. Citizens. This position supports the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act 2021.

The Supervisory Transportation Program Specialist will serve in one of the positions below:

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.To qualify for the Grade 15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-14, it must include: Experience within public transit industry in managing programs, performance analysis or policy development. Experience analyzing data and business processes and recommending efficiency and quality improvements for public transit programs, including the development and administration to stakeholders of technical assistance associated with those improvements. In addition to meeting the above specialized experience, YOU MUST MEET AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: Experience in capital project planning, development, and review of competitive or formula Federal grant applications and awards or in project management and the provision of oversight for capital projects. OR Experience in managing program oversight, safety and security, or financial management. OR Experience directing the development, administration, and reporting on national capital programs to include programs for urbanized areas. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating: Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.  Project management: Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.  Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.  Oral and Written communication: Makes clear and convincing oral presentations.
