You will serve as a Mechanical Technician Project Manager in the FACILITIES BRANCH in the INFRASTRUCTURE DIVISION in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.
Duties
You will collaborate with technical department personnel and develop work requirements for complex construction, repair, and maintenance projects and provide designs that will address the requirements.
You will provide expert technical facilities guidance and solutions to technical department representatives seeking to address Research, Development, Test and Evaluation infrastructure requirements, constraints, and/or compliance requirements.
You will independently prepare detailed design scopes of work, drawings, sketches, and cost estimates for project execution.
You will prepare detailed construction, repair, and maintenance project plans. Develop infrastructure solutions to solve Research, Development, Test and Evaluation infrastructure deficiencies.
You will provide expert support to the work of the Facilities Tactical Group (FTG) and Infrastructure Board (1B).
You will assess lab and work space configuration, suitability, organizational and personnel allocation, and quantity for strategic, tactical, personnel assignment, and mission capability factors.
You will serves as an expert technical specialist/authority performing research support, project engineering/program management, design and development, test and evaluation, and engineering/life cycle support.
You will exercise technical responsibility for planning and conducting various projects of broad scope and unconventional nature, interpreting, selecting and extending pertinent precedents or guides relating to the area of specialization.
You will analyze data and study characteristics of materials relating to engineering systems, processes, structures, and materials.
You will develop new methods and recommend solutions to unique/complex problems.
You will Responsible for time and money constraints and coordinating efforts of lower level personnel and contractors within these constraints.
You will participate in conference planning and provide expert technical consultation both within and outside NSWCDD to exchange information, coordinate on projects, resolve problems, and clarify technical information.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower band, NT-04 (GS-11/12), in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading or overseeing projects for physical infrastructure engineering, Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (SRM) execution, utilities management, or mechanical facility systems.
