Duties
As a principal member of the Assistant Director's staff, the incumbent is involved in all major policy decisions in the review and evaluation of program areas and must remain current on goals and objectives of the supervisor in the BOP. The incumbent is responsible for the supervision and oversight of major national programs in the agency. The incumbent will share the responsibility of Senior Deputy with one other individual. Because of the multi-variate nature of the duties involved with the Assistant Director's position (the AD also serves as the agency's Chief Information Officer and Senior Component Official for Privacy), the Senior Deputy Assistant Directors will alternate in sharing responsibilities of the Assistant Director in that individual's absence. The incumbent will provide top-level advice to the Assistant Director and the Director of the BOP concerning the Information Technology Data Division (ITDD) and the impact this Division has on the total management of the BOP.
