Duties
• Provides technical guidance and assistance to all levels of management in regards to professional training and workforce development.
• Promotes, coordinates, and improves education/learning policies, programs, standards, activities, and opportunities in accordance with DoD policies and education principles and best practices.
• Applies qualitative and quantitative techniques to improve the quality and relevance of training and education through research, development, demonstration, and training.
• Plans, develops and implements an integrated and responsive education-training program intended to influence achievements and the professional development of YPG mission personnel.
• Has primary responsibility for development, implementation, execution and evaluation responsibility for the K-12 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) efforts at Yuma Proving Ground.
• Work includes leading, planning, integration and performance of STEM outreach efforts at local schools and state universities.
• Analyzes, extracts, summarizes, and identifies significant trends and issues in a wide variety of procedures, organizations, functions, and programs within the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground.
• Forecasts and estimates program requirements and prepares programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc., for top-level presentations and briefings.
• Fully participates as YPG’s subject matter expert with higher headquarters on studies that pertain to improving professional development of ATEC mission employees.
Requirements
- • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- • Travel away from the normal duty station is required up to 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Provide human resources advice to managers on student hiring initiatives; AND 2) Interpret hiring regulations for programs such as Army Fellows, Recent graduates, SMART Candidates, or Pathways; AND 3) Assist with the execution of Outreach programs at Colleges, High School or Elementary schools. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH -02 or (GS-11).
