About the Position: This position is with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Army Geospatial Center (AGC) located in Alexandria, VA.
This is a term position.
Duties
Serves as a Senior Deployed Site Lead in support of the High Resolution 3-Dimensional Terrain Data program, providing project management, operational support and leadership in support of overseas operations.
Articulate customer needs and requirements to AGC, filter data requests, define customer needs and respond to data calls.
Provide expert consultation services to the Branch Chief or Directorate Chief as well as to higher echelons in USACE, Army, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and other Government agencies in area(s) of specialization.
Review and approves operating plans and approaches, establishes overall project priorities, procedures, and short-range goals.
Resolve highly difficult and at times complex technical and administrative project problems, obtaining approval, as required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilize elevation data including high resolution terrain elevation sources such as LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging); operate common automation software such as spreadsheets and specialized software used to display and produce terrain and GEOINT products; assess aerospace operations for terrain mapping missions and proficiency in data holdings and digital data systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
