Southern District of Florida, Miami, FL The selectee of this position serves as a Program Support Specialist. You will be responsible for maintaining and implementing internal controls for all program areas.

Duties

As a Program Support Specialist at the GS-0301- 11 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Works closely with the Administrative Officer (AO) on implementing processes for providing administrative services for the district's main and/or sub-office(s). Analyzes the district's financial obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with USMS policies and procedures. Provides advice and assistance to management on HR matters and/or issues. Provides oversight of the property management program. Assures contractors are performing projects that have quality and timeliness measures in place. GS-11 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-9 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0301-11 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications: A. One year of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade GS-9 in the Federal Service performing duties which include the following: 1) providing office administrative services to investigate, evaluate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions; 2) monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated; and 3) compiling, reviewing, and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy. OR B. Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.M. degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position, examples of qualifying fields include accounting, finance, and business administration. (NOTE: MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPT). OR C. A combination of education and experience as listed above. IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirements for one year of full-time graduate study.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
