This position is with the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), in the National Office located in Washington, D.C.
This position is at the full performance level.
This position is Outside the bargaining unit.
This is NOT a remote position. Selectee will be expected to report to the office listed above.
Duties
Plans and coordinates special projects and/or analyzes administrative areas to identify the sources of operational and/or administrative problems and recommends improvements in these areas.
Clarify technical information and provide advice on administrative, budget, records management issues, and provide policy guidance to DASPP staff.
Prepare and monitor the Division's Records Management Plan and Disposition Schedules base on the Agency and/or Departmental rules and procedures.
Monitors the Division's strategic plan using improvement techniques to gather input on goals and objectives from DASPP staff.
Prepare reports and other documents for the Division with fast turn-around times, to establish and to maintain effective and efficient procedures for tracking all expenditures, and to represent the Division in meetings, task groups, etc.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
To qualify for the GS-12: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-11. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-12 includes: performing analysis to identify sources of operational and/or administrative problems and recommend improvements; monitoring strategic plans to gather information on department goals and objectives; conducting administrative reviews to determine the efficiency of procedures, methods or systems.
