Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, in Huntsville, Alabama.
This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Duties
As a Computer Forensic Analyst (Program Manager), you will perform the following duties:
Responsible for providing guidance to field forensic analyst personnel and ICE/HSI field management as it relates to seizure of computers and/or electronic media for the purpose of evidence gathering;
Advise top agency managers on recent trends in computer and digital analysis of evidence related to criminal investigations;
Coordinate, analyze, research and provide technical support resources for the continued development of high-tech large and complex forensic examination, inspection, surveillance and investigative systems and equipment pertaining to research, development, testing and evaluation;
Determine effectiveness of nation-wide policies, standards, and procedures and furnish field management with advice and assistance on operational problems pertaining to complex computer and digital analysis of evidence.
Requirements

- Probationary Period: This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment). Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- Security Clearance: This position requires a security clearance. To be considered for this position, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance and be eligible for SCI adjudication.
- Availability: This position requires possession and maintenance of a government cell phone and the ability for leadership to contact employees after hours to meet unanticipated work in the event of an emergency.
- Training: Mandatory training on Basic Computer Evidence Recovery Training must be successfully completed, other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
- Travel: Incumbent may be required to travel both domestically and abroad on temporary duty assignments.
- Work Conditions: Incumbent will be exposed to the viewing of disturbing images and may be required to submit to a psychological evaluation.
- Overtime work may be required to meet mission objectives.

You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
