You will serve as a FINANCIAL MGMT ANALYST within NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will develop, determine, and interpret of budgetary policies and practices. You will possess basic knowledge of acquisition life cycle process of an acquisition program. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities. You will provide a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities may also be performed by incumbents of this position.

• This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following; 1. Performing or advising on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration 2. Applying knowledge of budget and program principles, policies, concepts, standards, terminology, and financial management and business operation systems 3.
