About the Position: This position is located in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) under the policy guidance and direction of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (ASD) for Health Affairs (HA), Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Duties

Responsible for coordination of requests for information and assistance from Military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) transitioned to DHA under the authority, direction, and control of the Director, DHA. Participates in current and long-range planning meetings to ensure that Agency’s goals and objectives are fully and effectively related. Supervise government civilians and military personnel in their functional areas. Responsible for implementing and maintaining positive and effective safety programs. Reconcile conflicting views on significant phases of accessioning operations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
