This position is located at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Deputy Commissioner (Financing and Operations), Associate Commissioner Financial Operations, Disbursing and Debt Management (DDM), Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) Support Services, Business Solutions & Services Division, Software Testing Branch.
Duties
As a User Acceptance Test Specialist, you will:
Develop strategies the team will use to reach each goal or objective, as well as timelines and levels of effort for each project.
Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Develop long-range strategies for the major program elements.
Develop test materials (e.g., scenarios, scripts, data, and expected results) to validate acceptance of approved modifications and change requests (CRs) for each release type including critical, minor, major, and new customer releases. Update test materials (e.g., scenarios, scripts, data, and expected results) as modifications are completed.
Develop automated test scripts using automated software to conduct routine personnel transactions testing (e.g., scenarios, scripts, data, and expected results for functional and performance testing.
Perform User Acceptance Testing: Execute automated scripts, analyze and report the results, troubleshoot identified problems, document objects or data warranting cleanup, re-test, and validate modifications for system problems.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
-Performing user acceptance testing, including developing test materials and automated test scripts; AND
-Reporting on the status and progress of assigned projects in order to ensure deadlines and time frames for completion are met; AND
-Experience running batch updates/jobs, monitoring results of updates and pulling data from databases to produce reports in order to track effectiveness.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
