This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB-MRTFB to recruit for positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: As Deputy of Operations, Medical Logistics Flight, provide overall management and supervision of the Medical Logistics operations across, the 96th MDG.
A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Duties
Serves as the Deputy of Operations for the Medical Logistics Flight, the Installation Accountable Medical Supply Officer and Accountable Property Officer (APO).
Exercises independent judgement and is responsible for the efficient and effective management of daily operations within the Medical Logistics Flight.
Provides subordinate supervisors and staff with direction and advice regarding policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Balances workload and provides overall direction and vision to the subordinate section Chiefs on a wide range of logistic and administrative issues.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities for six GS-9’s and four MSgts (E-7’s).
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Provides supervision and oversight of daily operations.
Responsible for DMLSS management, custodian training program, and general customer service.
Leads a team of Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) in managing all MTF service contracts.
Responsible for ensuring assigned War Reserve Materiel (WRM) assets are established and maintained to support assigned missions.
Ensures the correct allowance standards are established and maintained in the DMLSS AM module.
Ensures medical materiel support and effective quality control.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience performing at least two of the following tasks which includes: (1) Managing the use of automated computer systems to order medical materiel in support of military treatment facility operations such as the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system (2) Applying medical supply management regulations, policies, and procedures to daily tasks (3) Contract management and administration and (4) Supervise a team of supply and contract personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
