The primary purpose of this position is to analyze, develop, evaluate or promote improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems or techniques of the supply system for the organization and to ensure senior level management is provided with current statistical data to make essential management decisions regarding logistics processes, and procedures.

Duties

Provides a program analysis for upper level management to measure current status against planned objectives. Conducts analysis within the office, in the work area, or in customer organizations. Full scale supply program analysis. Analyzes critical elements of supply performance continuously, important problems as needed, and less important items on a random sampling basis. Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Supply Program Management Series, 2003. https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/2000/supply-program-management-series-2003/. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have one year or will have within 120 days of the closing of this announcement specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes analyzing, developing, evaluating or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems or techniques of the supply system for the organization and to ensure senior level management is provided with current statistical data to make essential management decisions regarding logistics processes, procedures, and related support systems. Knowledge of the various automated systems utilized by the regional supply squadron. Supply function is required to identify and reconstruct various procedural errors or potential errors, and to enter, correct, retrieve, and structure specialized reports. Knowledge of extensive body of management and/or program analysis technical rules, regulations, and precedents. Knowledge of the basic objectives and policies governing various logistic operations. Knowledge of various procedural techniques and other processes for local use in operations. Knowledge to perform analytical assignments involving specific issues associated with squadron function management. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-­grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in one or more of the technical supply specializations or of supply program operations. 2. Knowledge of operations and/or procedures to provide services and resolve issues and problems of a procedural nature in supply operations, planning, or program management. 3. Knowledge of established supply systems to weigh the impact of such variables as cost, existing policies and procedures, data processing requirements, and other issues that influence the course of action taken. 4. Knowledge to analyze information; trace sequences of transactions to resolve questions; prepare entries for supply record systems; provide supply information, reports, and services; and recommend actions to eliminate problems. 5. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing without significant speech impediment and experience in preparation of slides, graphs, and/or other briefing materials. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
