This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Intelligence Analysis. As a Supervisory Security Specialist (Associate Chief), you will serve within the Office of Security Programs, and share fully in the duties, responsibilities, and authorities of the Executive Director, assisting in directing and managing the office in carrying out the Department's policy and operational responsibilities involving organizational strategy and operations performance.
Duties
Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.
As a Supervisory Security Specialist (Associate Chief), you will:
-Review and prepare facility CONOPS, SOPs, construction plans, and Fixed Facility Checklists, and make recommendations to the CSA and other certifying authorities.
-Assist in the drafting of Treasury security policies and procedures.
-Represent Treasury in Intelligence Community (IC) working groups, committees, and forums.
-Independently plan, schedule, coordinate, carry out, and monitor the effectiveness of the operation of security programs.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience for the GS-14: To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following:
-Analyzing and applying laws, principles, concepts, policies, practices or regulations governing
personnel, physical security, special security, and/or information security in order to review, analyze,
and resolve security problems; AND
-Developing and preparing explanations of facts to express recommendations; AND
-Providing guidance to lower level specialists regarding security process; AND
-Applying practical security principles, concepts and methods in carrying out assignments.
