You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS OVERSIGHT DEPARTMENT of NCC.
Duties
You will integrate Weight Handling Equipment design characteristics with test procedures to assure the equipment is properly tested.
You will analyze technical data for the assessment of equipment to interpret their operation and predict potential problems.
You will write reports of findings to document review results and corrective actions required.
You will brief management regarding equipment issues, problems, and requirements.
Requirements

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Identifying program non-compliance, and recommend cost effective improvements in Weight Handling programs or other major programs areas such as production, safety, training, industrial processes, etc.; 2) Performing audits and inspections of Weight Handling programs or other major program areas such as production, safety, training, industrial processes, etc.; 3) Analyzing records of activities to review compliance with WHE directives; 4) Preparing and delivering oral and written technical reports to management; 5) Inspecting and identifying equipment deficiencies; and 6) Maintaining or inspecting WHE in accordance with NAVFAC P-307 requirements; and 7) Utilizing Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, etc…) to prepare correspondence, maintain records, and prepare reports.
FOR GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Assisting others in identifying program non-compliance, and recommend cost effective improvements in Weight Handling programs or other major programs areas such as production, safety, training, industrial processes, etc.; 2) Assisting others in performing audits and inspections of Weight Handling programs or other major program areas such as production, safety, training, industrial processes, etc.; 3) Assisting others in analyzing records of activities to review compliance with WHE directives; 4) Assisting others in the preparation of written technical reports to management; 5) Inspecting and identifying equipment deficiencies; and 6) Maintaining or inspecting WHE in accordance with NAVFAC P-307 requirements; and 7) Utilizing Microsoft Off ices products (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, etc…) to prepare correspondence, maintain records, and prepare reports.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D.p or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
