You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST WITHIN GLOBAL OPERATIONS, OFFICE OF STRATEGIC SUPPORT of NCIS.
All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties
You will support the NCIS Security Manager, with major and special projects in support of each of the security disciplines involved with information, personnel, physical, special access program, and sensitive compartmented information security.
You will provide policy and written technical guidance to support the NCIS OSS Security Program and the NCIS field site. This written guidance includes and is not limited to emergency action plans and standard operating procedures.
You will review and evaluates the effectiveness of physical, personnel and information security management within the OSS and the NCIS field site.
You will provide program guidance, inspections, evaluations, planned staff visits and other methods. Initiates action leading to resolution of specific security management problems throughout the field site.
You will serve as a technical expert providing full range Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP).
You will coordinate all matters pertaining to the protection and security of personnel, property, and material against terrorists, criminals and hostile intelligence threats within the OSS.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- You may be subject to a Counterintelligence-Scope (CI) polygraph examination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- Must be eligible for enhanced personal security clearances IAW JAFAN 6/4 standards.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience preforming high level reviews and analysis of installation physical security plans and survey reports for compliance with current policies and procedures. Experience advising and counseling different personnel that's assigned to the organization on different security issues.
