This position is located at Departmental Offices,Management CFO- Info Systems and CIO. As a/an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will be delivering responsive, cost-effective, innovative, reliable, and secure technology while supporting enterprise infrastructure shared services in support of Treasury's mission.

Duties

As a/an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will: Provide technical expertise to the design, development, and implementation of Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) and/or EDR policies and solutions to ensure information system security and to defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data. Assist the Associate Chief Information Officer for Infrastructure & Operations in providing oversight and expertise in CDM of all CDM systems, and/or Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), operated by or on behalf of the Department to ensure they are adequately protected and to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information to minimize the risk of unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. Develop new security methods and criteria for the CDM and/or EDR program governance when needed, and act as an expert in interpreting policy and guidelines for the CDM and/or EDR program. Develop strategies and policies that govern the delivery of CDM programs and/or EDR, and serves as subject matter expert for TEICAM, CDM and/or EDR. Ensure compliance with government-wide and department-wide regulations in the areas of CDM and/or EDR including providing expert guidance and assistance to the TEICAM leadership team.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Interpreting and implementing the existing IT security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures; AND Experience providing technical expertise to the design, development, and implementation of CDM (IT Security) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the agency and federal guidelines; AND Experience providing technical expertise to the design, development, and implementation of ICAM policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the agency and federal guidelines; AND Experience with program analysis, including the experience guiding and structuring the work of staff and understanding large quantities of information and the production of a wide variety of written materials; AND Coordinating implementation of computer security technical solutions and/or corrective actions with system stakeholders. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
