Duties
Fluid minerals permitting and compliance: process applications for permit to drill; surface sundries; inspections and
compliance, and fluid minerals leasing.
Perform as project lead for all oil and gas projects (APDs, construction, surface, sundries, and final reclamation); serve as subject
matter expert (NRS) during interdisciplinary team meetings.
Program coordination: work in a collaborative manner with other NRSs in the WRBBD and statewide; develop
sustainable relationships with BLM personnel, oil and gas operators, land owners, and the public.
Communication skills: practice effective verbal and written communication skills; and demonstrate expertise in
technical writing for a variety of audiences.

GS 09:In addition to meeting the education requirement, you must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples:
Knowledge and application of theories, principles, and practices of natural resource management or physical sciences that is sufficient to solve routine problems independently. Has working knowledge of or familiarity with fluid minerals or similar management and development practices.
OR
2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree,
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate education. Graduate level education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
GS 11:In addition to meeting the education requirement, you must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples:
Knowledge and experience applying theories, principles, and practices of natural resource management or physical sciences that is sufficient to solve unique and complex problems. Has experience or familiarity with fluid minerals or similar management and development practices. Experience developing NEPA documentation. Has experience participating in or leading interdisciplinary teams.

3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree,
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate education. Graduate level education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.

Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
