Duties

As a Business Analyst, you will: Analyze relevance of FHA program offerings and programs from a variety of conventional, governmental and quasi-governmental entities as part of analyzing larger market trends. Develop data and provide reports that facilitate strategies to promote FHA Single Family programs in urban areas with high housing costs, as opportunities present themselves, such as the expected change in requirements regarding raising FHA mortgage limits in these areas, where market share and participation have declined. Maintain awareness regarding the amount of FHA activity in various markets and trends with major lenders and those factors that are positively and negatively influencing endorsement business flow.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Extracting and interpreting data using current analytics practices including developing queries accessing sources of data, generating automated reporting, and analyzing large data sets to support decision-making; AND - Assessing the performance of housing financial markets to identify trends for internal and/or external stakeholders; AND - Interpreting and advising on housing policy, laws and regulations; AND - Conducting quantitative and qualitative evaluation of housing programs for improvement of processes and policies. OR Combination: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the specialized experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the education requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
