Duties
As a Business Analyst, you will:
Analyze relevance of FHA program offerings and programs from a variety of conventional, governmental and quasi-governmental entities as part of analyzing larger market trends.
Develop data and provide reports that facilitate strategies to promote FHA Single Family programs in urban areas with high housing costs, as opportunities present themselves, such as the expected change in requirements regarding raising FHA mortgage limits in these areas, where market share and participation have declined.
Maintain awareness regarding the amount of FHA activity in various markets and trends with major lenders and those factors that are positively and negatively influencing endorsement business flow.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Extracting and interpreting data using current analytics practices including developing queries accessing sources of data, generating automated reporting, and analyzing large data sets to support decision-making; AND
- Assessing the performance of housing financial markets to identify trends for internal and/or external stakeholders; AND
- Interpreting and advising on housing policy, laws and regulations; AND
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative evaluation of housing programs for improvement of processes and policies.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
