About the Position: Position falls under the Defense Health Agency National Capital Region Medical Directorate under the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital providing oversight of the Primary Care Medical Home services within a highly visible medical clinic.

Duties
Initiate, develop, plan, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures and systems to monitor utilization of executive health care services that are beneficial and cost-effective for both the patient and the Government.
Maintain accountability for productivity, access, wellness, patient satisfaction, enrollment, and empanelment targets.

Establish financial priorities for needed personnel, services, supplies, and equipment, ensuring allocation of available funds accordingly.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates; set and adjust short-term priorities; prepare schedules for completion of work.
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Oversight for all Template/schedule management in a Primary Care Medical Home Clinic.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A favorable Tier 3 background investigation is required for all Non-Critical Sensitive (NCS), Moderate Risk positions.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- All employees assigned to a Medical Treatment Facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations regardless of series, based on occupational risk, and are subject to missing/required immunizations.
- This position may be Mission Essential position where the employee would be required to remain in place or report for duty during inclement weather conditions or other appropriate emergency conditions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing electronic healthcare systems, such as the MHS Genesis, evaluating or analyzing healthcare processes and recommending solutions; coordinating or recommending budgets for funds and resources; and providing supervision, leadership, or direction to employees and their work.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.
