This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a principal consultant to the Global Capacity Development (GCD) Deputy Assistant Director, providing advice and assistance in mission accomplishment over the wide spectrum of Systems to support military training, exercises, and security cooperation (SC) conducted under Building Partner Capacity (BPC) SC Authorities.

Duties

As a PROGRAM ANALYST (TRAIN & EQUIP SYSTEMS) at the GS-0343-13/14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serving as a principal consultant to the GCD Deputy Assistant Director, providing advice and assistance in mission accomplishment over the wide spectrum of Systems to support military training, exercises, and security cooperation (SC) conducted under Building Partner Capacity (BPC) SC Authorities. Developing, implementing, managing, and executing SC system policies, processes, and procedures. Serving as the focal point for Systems planning, guiding, developing, monitoring, coordinating, and recommending training and progress of operations and equipment support for Security Cooperation. Ensuring planning and execution requirements for T10 processes, specific authorities and programs planned and executed under International Security Cooperation Programs Account (ISCPA), (WPS, 332, 333 & MSI) are properly represented, designed, and implemented in SOCIUM and the Long-Term Solution (LTS). Coordinating with key stakeholders to develop of long-term strategic planning timelines for development of Long-Term Solution functionality and related integration.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Formulating security cooperation projects; Assessing program effectiveness; Investigating or analyzing unusual conditions, problems or questions; Preparing a variety of international security cooperation correspondence and reports. You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Providing advice and assistance in mission accomplishment over the wide spectrum of Systems to support military training, exercises, and security cooperation; Developing business process related documentation and training materials; Utilizing enterprise resource planning systems; Coordinating with key stakeholders for related system integration efforts. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
