About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Transnational Directorate, Identity Intelligence Division, Charlottesville, VA 22911..

Duties

Serves as an identity analyst in the Identity Intelligence Division. Develops all-source intelligence products focused on individuals, human networks and populations of intelligence interest. Identifies intelligence gaps and prepares detailed specifications for collection based on knowledge of collection systems. Integrates results and draws significant conclusions from selected analytical approaches to prepare finished intelligence products. Produces innovative, targeted all-source intelligence products. Provides timely, authoritative and sound advice and recommendations on assigned functional, geographic or operational focus area through the chain of command.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required, up to 25% of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• Shift work will be required.
