This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Capital Access, Office of Surety Guarantees in Washington, DC.
Duties
Serves as the principle program analyst and primary advisor to the Director and Deputy Director on the management and operation of the Surety Bond Guarantee Program.
Independently analyzes internal Surety Bond Guarantee Program data and surety data and prepares recommendations for the Director/OSG to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
Conducts comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of surety industry policies, practices and performance measures and identifies and recommends program enhancements to align processes and procedures and strengthen the SBA/Industry partnership.
Develops and provides policy guidance and program tools to implement and manage complex technical surety bond guarantee changes and initiatives.
Represents the Agency at high-level government and industry meeting and conferences on matters pertaining to the surety bond guarantee program and other Agency programs.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen.
- You must be a current SBA career/conditional competitive service employee.
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector performing such duties as:
Conducting statistical analysis and studies to make recommendations on operating programs; and
Analyzing findings to make recommendations on operating programs; and
Using qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to make recommendations on program policies;
Compose written materials to high level government officials on information related to surety bond guarantee operations.
