Salary: $131 889 - 183 500 per year

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the pay band, including higher responsibility positions. Based on the responsibilities of this position (Tier 3), the total adjusted salary may be capped equivalent to GS-14 Step 7 (currently $158,264).

Duties

You will be responsible for providing expert advisory and consultative support in the movement of software applications through various stages of their lifecycle from inception till delivery to the fleet and beyond. You will be responsible for ensuring the quick and seamless delivery of software applications from developers to the warfighter, and responsible for the workflow, communication, and routing of all applications associated with Program Overmatch. You will work with PM and Pillar Leads to facilitate the movement of applications to include working with programs across the PEOs and other relevant organizations to facilitate leveraging opportunities. You will maintain necessary integration, coordination and administration of the programs and their software applications, and maintain long and short-range calendars and predict future requirements based on operational readiness. You will assist in the coordination across industry and DoD activities to ensure all applications regardless of the stage of acquisition strategy or program of record standardize processes and execution meet user capability requirements. You will analyze data, compile facts and information, and provide technical advise to higher level management, formulate strategic plans, policies, and procedures to support programs, plans, and initiatives with respect to target audiences. You will be responsible for coordination and ushering of software applications between Infrastructure and Warfighting Tools and Analytics, as well as managing the overall workflow as an applications runs through DevSecOps process.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Program Management Area and level II category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Generally, current Federal employees applying to APS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.
  • DP-4 TIER 3 CAP; SAN DIEGO, CA; SALARY STATEMENT: If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $131,889 - $158,264 (Base $99,908 - $119,888 plus 32.01% locality adjustment).
  • Based on the responsibilities of this position (Tier-3), the total adjusted salary may be capped equivalent to GS-14, Step 07 (San Diego, CA currently $158,264).

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing advisory and consultative support in the movement of software applications through various stages of their lifecycle from inception until delivery of a mission.
